Welcome to the website for HSC Conference 2008, presented by the Homeschool Association of California. The
Conference will take place August 14th through 17th, 2008 at the Radisson Hotel in Sacramento.
Right now, you can get a glimpse of some of what we have planned for the 2008 Conference, as well as take
a look at pictures and reflections from 2007. Keep checking back as this site will be filled with all the details for
this year's Conference very soon!
The HSC Conference is renowned for being many conferences in one and features a full slate of diverse activities for
adults, teens, and all ages of kids at all stages of the homeschooling journey.
The 2008 Conference will feature innovative
workshop sessions on homeschooling by well-known authors, advocates and experts; informative panels and roundtables featuring
active members of the homeschooling community; a wealth of exciting hands-on workshops for families; and our unique teen-friendly
conference.
In response to popular demand, at the 2008 conference kids and their families will have a greater opportunity
to explore their interests and discover new skills. Youth workshops will no longer be separated into age groups, and attendees
will be free to choose to participate based on interest and ability. In addition to our expanded program for families open
to all ages, teens will have their own conference program created and run by homeschooled teens
Whether you are new
to homeschooling or have been doing it for years, whether you are a young child, a preteen, a teen, a parent, or a grandparent
there will be so much waiting for you at the 2008 HSC conference! We hope to see you there
2008 Conference Wish List
The conference is in need of several important items. Even if you can only donate them for
the weekend, we would be just as thrilled! Here's what we're looking for:
A rolling TV cart
Dollies
DJ lights/disco ball
A vacuum cleaner
Glow sticks (any amount)
Snacks or drinks for the teen dance
Art supplies
Large cardboard boxes (appliance size)
Items for our raffle
Do you have a band? Are you a solo performer? Are you a DJ with equipment? Will you be at the conference on
Thursday, Friday or Saturday night? Want to play for us?
