New speakers!

I'm pleased to announce two new speakers for our 2009 conference - David Albert and Blake Boles!

David Albert is a well known homeschooling dad, speaker and  author of Have Fun. Learn Stuff. Grow. Homeschooling and the Curriculum of Love (Common Courage Press, 2006), And the Skylark Sings with Me: Adventures in Homeschooling and Community-Based Education (New Society Publishers, 1999), and Homeschooling and the Voyage of Self-Discovery: A Journey of Original Seeking (Common Courage Press, 2003). He is also editor of the two-volume set The Healing Heart ~ Families: Storytelling to Encourage Caring and Healthy Families and The Healing Heart ~ Communities: Storytelling to Build Strong and Healthy Communities (New Society Publishers 2003).  You can get more information about David at his website: www.skylarksings.com

Blake Boles has worked extensively with teens outside of the traditional high school environment. He is the author of College Without High School, a teenage guidebook for getting into competitive colleges with little or no high school. Blake designs and leads innovative trips teenage unschoolers through Unschool Adventures. He has co-led a teen leadership program for three summers as the assistant director of Deer Crossing Wilderness Summer Camp and served as an advisor to unschooling teens at Not Back to School Camp since 2006. Early Registration is open!

Although it is little bit later than we'd hoped, Early Bird Registration is now open!  Our early registration rate is even less than last year (and the year before!), so that attending the conference can be a reality for everyone! At $65 per member (with multiple registrations), it's only about $21 a day for the full conference experience - over 100 workshops, night events, teen dances and much more!

Registration will look a little different this year as we are integrated our membership database with our conference registration.  When registering, you will need to verify or purchase your membership at the same time as you register.  If your membership is current, and will be current when the conference starts, you will simply register.  If your membership will expire before the conference, you will be asked to renew.  If you are not yet a member, you can become a member while registering.

Since this is a brand new system, we expect that we may have a glitch or two.  If that happens, please relax, and let us know so that we can help you get registered.

Register today - hope to see you this  year!
