Woodlake Hotel Sacramento, CA

 (Formerly the Radisson Hotel)

Alternative Accomodations

KOA Sacramento

Whether to save money or because you prefer a camping experience to a hotel experience, the KOA is a great alternative to the conference hotel.  The KOA in West Sacramento is just 10 miles from the Woodlake Hotel, where the conference is held.

The West Sac KOA is located very conveniently to the freeway, and there are nearby easy food choices, like Subway and Denny's. It has great amenities, and it is a perfect place for a family to stay. There are clean bathrooms, with nearly-home-like showers, and a coin op laundry room. They have nice grounds, including a playground and large grass field. They have a pool, and a large rec room that has a big screen TV and some video games, and foosball, etc. They have a store on the grounds, and you can also rent fun
little bike-things. There is fishing in their small lake, and pedal boats available to rent. They also offer fun activities during the week.   Of course, you'll want to be at the conference as much as possible, but at least when you're going back to the campground, there'll still be things to look forward to there.

The choices of lodging are varied and can meet many differing needs.  There are tent sites (grassy, many shady) for $34 per night, and sites to accommodate all sizes and types of RV's from about $44 per night to $49 per night. But they also have small cabins, cottages, and "park models." These choices offer a range of amenities from the quaint, sleeps four, clean, bare bones cabin for $57 per night, to the two room, sleeps six, cottages with their own bathroom and kitchenette for $88. per night, to the fully stocked with linens, kitchen necessities, etc. sleeps eight "park models" for $125 per night.
