A few years ago at the Conference, a very sweet thing happened on Saturday evening in the Grove.
Just after the workshops ended and before the family dance, HSC's first Artisans Craft Fair took
place.
Under the shade of the trees on the big
round tables, folks young and old from all over California came together to sell their wares. It was a time to slow down and
mingle with other homeschoolers at the end of a busy day. A time to buy beautiful handmade flowers, photographs, cards, sparkly
pipe-cleaner crowns, balloon animals, ribbon wands and much more.
The Artisans Craft Fair is all about our community. We have so many talented people looking for a market
to sell their work. Young entrepreneurs venturing into the market for the first time, money box in hand ready to
make change. With everything being priced at inexpensively, the Artisans Craft Fair is an
affordable way to support and encourage the talents of homeschooling artisans.
We will be having the Artisans Craft Fair again this year, Saturday from 5:00
to 7:00 p.m. in the Grove. It promises to be another sweet community event -- don't miss it!
The Artisans Craft Fair is open to
all homeschooling artisans who would like to sell their wares. Items to be sold must be priced at $10 and under.
In addition, alongside the Artisans Craft Fair, we will have the homeschool
Art Exhibit, open to adults and children alike. The Art Exhibit is a space to display
the work of our talented and, amazing homeschooling community. You can display arts and crafts, science projects,
or whatever you have made and would like to share that lends itself to being displayed easily.
