There's more to do at the conference than you can possibly imagine!
Sessions and Funshops
With over 150 sessions and hands-on funshops there's definitely something for everyone! We have talks on homeschool-related topics, active and crafty workshops for the kids, thoughtful discussion topics for teens and adults. All workshops have supplies included and no pre-enrollment is needed (though you may be asked to bring something from home for a few funshops). We try to schedule topics in blocks so that, if you have a particular focus, you'll be able to see all of it.
Adventure Series
In 2011, we offered a special block of 12 sessions, targeted especially toward beginning homeschoolers, but open to all. This year's series topic, Mulitple Intelligences and Learning Styles, will be of interest to both new and experienced homeschoolers. Our series begins with "getting started" sessions, which are followed by our theme topics over the course of the weekend. All sessions of the Adventure Series are held in Edgewater C.
Exhibit Hall
We offer a 10,000 square foot Exhibit Hall packed with vendors who sell unique items of interest to our attendees as well as informational exhibitors who have products and services to offer the homeschooling community. We also have T-shirts and other merchandise and our Speaker Bookstore, where you can pick up items offered by our various speakers all in one place.

Ongoing Activity Areas
We have many ongoing activity areas within the conference every day! Here are some of the areas we're expecting to have this year:
- Children's Play Room
- Construction Zone
- Water Play Area
- Teen Refuge
- Game Deck
- Art Deck
- Crafter's Corner
- Living History Pavillion
- Alchemy Alcove
- Night Game Deck
- Plexiglass Easel
Plus several more that we're working on for 2012!
Teen Program
The HSC Conference stands out because of its full teen program created by and for teens. HSC’s teen program is one of the most extensive and exciting programs offered by any homeschool
conference in the country!
Night Events
When the day's sessions are over, the fun is just starting! Each evening there are at least two events - one for teens and one for families. Dances, concerts, carnivals, games - each night you can expect something fun to keep you going! It's also a great time to meet up with old and new friends and relax after a long day of activities.
Arts and Crafts Fair
On Saturday evening from 5pm -7pm, the Grove becomes a homeschoolers' marketplace, where kids and parents display and sell their art and craft items to all who gather. Participation is free, just come early to claim your spot!
Recycled Resource Room
Do you have old books, toys, curriculum and stuff to get rid of? Make a few bucks by selling it at our Recycled Resource Room. Or find some fantastic treasures for yourself. Click here for more info.
